The Gambia Beach Volleyball Team at 2:30pm today will go head-to-head with Canada at the ongoing Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England.
The team comprising the duo Jawo and Jarra, on Tuesday qualified to the quarterfinal after defeating Sri Lanka 2-1.
Today’s clash with Canada would be a fight for a top-of-the-table in Pool A.
“Reality check in Pool A – with quarterfinal spot confirmed already, The Gambia now faces Canada today at 2:30pm for the top of the group clash.
“Gambia Beach Volleyball (Team) at the Commonwealth Games for the first time now, have a chance to beat one of the World’s most formidable teams,” GNOC said in a brief statement.
