The Drug Law Enforcement Agency has apprehended four individuals in possession of 124 bundles of suspected cannabis.
Those arrested include “45 years old Abdoulie Bojang, a farmer by occupation, Gambian by nationality and a resident of Bajonkoto village in Foni, 48 years old Pa Badjie, a truck driver by occupation, Gambian by nationality and a resident of Ginea village in Foni, 18 years old Ousman Gibba, A Gambian by nationality, vehicle apprentice and a resident of Dobong village in Foni, and 45 years old Muhammed Sillah, a Gambian by nationality, farmer by occupation and resident of Bassending in URR were arrested on the 8th of March 2024 with one hundred and twenty-four (124) big bundles of suspected cannabis sativa.
“Operatives also seized a truck with registration number BJL 3540 H and a Mercedes-Benz pick up with registration number WCR 6472 A that were used to convey the said drugs. The suspects are currently in custody while further investigations continue,” DLEAG said.
In a separate development, DLEAG announced the arrest of Omar Jallow, 19 years old, in Serrekunda on March 9, 2024, at 15:18 hours GMT, with 27 wraps of Kush. Likewise, Edrissa Jatta, 28 years old, was apprehended at Pipeline on March 9, 2024, at 11:33 hours GMT, with one large bundle of suspected cannabis sativa.
