Former Justice Minister

Lawyer Lamin Jobarteh, (Baba Dinding) Justice Minister under ex-President Yahya Jammeh has joined the United Democratic Party (UDP).
The former Justice Minister declared his support for the party during its rally on Saturday in Saruja Village in the Central River Region (CRR).
“As the saying in Mandinka goes, if the distance of the race is not long, no one knows who comes last. But whether you like it or not, what Allah decides no one can change that. So Ousainu Darboe is going to rule this country,” Jobarteh told the UDP crowd in CRR.
He also served as a magistrate before his ministerial post, among other positions.
This year, Jobarteh appeared before the Truth Reconciliation and Reparation Commission (TRRC) as one of the witnesses adversely mentioned by victims of the former Gambia President Yahya Jammeh.
