Omar Ceesay, the former Gambia Democratic Congress National Assembly Member for Niamina East constituency, has called on the electorate in Banjul to vote for Mayor Rohey Malick for women empowerment.

“Women’s Empowerment Should Come Into Play” Hon.Ceesay wrote on his Facebook page yesterday.

“Her re-election will play a significant role in the course of women’s empowerment within and beyond The Gambia. She represents the flag of The Gambia Internationally at a higher level without any fear or contradiction,”

“I am optimistic that the women of the Gambia, especially those from the capital, will do the needful by re-electing the Iron Lady once more.  Her commitment to representing the interest of women is unquestionable at all levels,”he said.

He further called on the women to take up the responsibility and make it a point of duty to ensure Rohey Lowe is re-elected for the common good.

“I am not a member of the UDP, but she has my full support. This is beyond partisan politics,”he added.
