Independent Candidate for Kombo South Constituency, Bubacarr F.M. Colley, has congratulated Kebba K. Barrow following his re-election in the 9th April Parliamentary Election.

“The people of Kombo South have spoken aloud and their voice MUST be respected, even if one thinks such is the wrong choice. Vox Populi, Vox Dei (Latin, ‘the voice of the people is the voice of God’). I hereby state, in unequivocal terms, that I unreservedly respect the people’s choice and thus, hereby congratulate Honourable Keba K. Barrow (“Hon. K.K Barrow”), who is duly elected to continue to serve in the National Assembly as the representative of the people of Kombo South constituency for the next five years,” he said in a statement shared with this medium.

Mr Colley urged the newly elected National Assembly Member for Kombo South Constituency to represent them well.

“I wish him success knowing that if he succeeds, I and everyone in Kombo South constituency succeeds too. The reverse is also true in terms of failure. Hon. K.K Barrow, as you are given another chance to represent us again, please convey our plight to the National Assembly. Endeavor to reverse the current trend on the pollution of our environment and the looting of our “black sand” in Sanyang and Tujereng. Engage your people to understand their cries and work toward enacting laws that protect the people’s interests and their resources,” he continued.

He also thanked everyone who contributed to his campaign during the past weeks.

Bubacarr F.M. Colley and 3 others contested against K.K Barrow in the just concluded parliamentary election but all of them lost to him (Mr. Barrow) who secured more than 10, 000 votes.

Abdoulie Falie Jallow of GDC got 1, 111; Malang Sanyang of GMC got 790; Bubacarr F. M. Colley, Independent got 5, 254; Momodou Bojang of NPP got 8, 670; and Kebba K. Barrow of UDP secured  10, 616.

Honourable Kebba K. Barrow, fondly referred to as K. Barrow first served in the National Assembly under the UDP ticket in the 5th Legislature following his election in April 2017.
