Independent aspirant Ebrima Tabora Manneh has admitted meeting President Adama Barrow at State House today but denied endorsing him for the December election.
“I was invited to the state house for a discussion. We had a discussion, just like a similar discussion I had with other political parties. There is nothing conclusive yet. Like I always said, any decision we make will be in the best interest of the Gambia and Gambians will be informed accordingly. Not only them, I had discussion with UDP and I will have a discussion with NUP, and GDC has also called me, but there is nothing final,” he told Kerr Fatou in a phone interview amid viral rumour on social media that he had endorsed NPP standard-bearer following the rejection of his bid by the Independent Electoral Commission.
Earlier today, photos of Mr Manneh at State House emerged on social media alleging that he (Manneh) has endorsed the NPP leader.
