Shortly after filing his details at the Election House for his presidential bid, the United Democratic Party leader posted on social media that Gambian youths are unwilling to subcontract their future to an ‘incompetent incumbent’.
“A nation united in disappointment hoping for a better future. The Gambian youths unwilling to subcontract their future to an incompetent incumbent (referring to President Barrow). Thirsty for empowerment and employment and yearning for a capable state, their cries of Ahjindi fill the air. All they want is a better Gambia. The weight of the nation rests on my shoulders,” Lawyer Ousainu Darboe posted on Facebook on Monday.
Darboe and GMC leader on day 3 of the nomination process filed their credentials for consideration by the Independent Electoral Commission.
