The leader of the defeated the United Democratic Party (UDP) Ousainu ANM Darboe asked his supporters to believe in the rule of law.
“Let no one gets hurt or injured because of politics. Let’s believe in the rule of law and follow that path. You have never disappointed Baba (referring to himself), Baba will never disappoint you. No insult or fight. Please disperse and join your houses and interact with everyone in peace. I don’t want to hear any noise or a report of fighting. Please have a lunch, drink and head home,” ANM Darboe said.
The UDP supporters went to their party leader’s residence to show solidarity with him after he lost in the just concluded presidential election to the incumbent President Adama Barrow leader of the National People’s Party (NPP) in which the UDP rejected and promised to investigate the matter.
