The Deputy Secretary General of the Citizens Alliance (CA), Alpha MK Lowe, has confirmed his resignation as the Deputy Secretary General of the Citizens’ Alliance (CA) party.
Asked why he resigned, he said, “it is as a result of my job at the UTG. I have been seen to be actively doing some partisan politics. That’s the reason I took that decision. I am an administrator at the UTG. I was appointed as the Deputy Secretary General of CA. I resigned from my position, but I am still a member of the party”.
Alpha MK Lowe was the Deputy Secretary General of the Citizens’Alliance (CA) until his resignation recently, however, his party Leader, Dr. Ismaila Ceesay is still a Political Science Lecturer at the University of The Gambia which is against the General Order (GO) in the Gambia, Specifically, Section 6.1.2 (4), which states that: “To take an active part in political activity, which is inconsistent with or reflects adversely upon the independence and impartiality required of public servants”
