Cabinet Approves Recommendation For Civil Service Allowance Review

The Personal Management Office (PMO) has announced that the Cabinet has approved the recommendation for a Civil Service allowance review exercise.
“This is to inform you that the Cabinet approved the recommendation of Civil Service Allowance Review Exercise. The implementation will start January 2022. The estimated cost to the government is about Eighty-Six million, Two Hundred and Eleven Thousand, Seven Hundred and Sixty-two Dalasi, Twenty Eight butut (D86, 211, 762, 28) annually, which will have a huge budgetary implications,” the PMO informed the Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs in a letter dated 9th September 2021.
The letter added that the review would affect transport/residential, risk, on call duty, nurses specialty, special skills and professional allowances.
