Momodou Sabally, upon arrival at the police station yesterday evening was interrogated by a panel consisting of personnel of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) at the PIU headquarters in Kanifing before he (Sabally) was transferred to the Anti-Crime Unit where he spend the night.
Our Police sources further disclosed that the United Democratic Party (UDP)’s Campaign Manager was today (Thursday) transported back to the Police Intervention Unit (PIU) for continued interrogation. Our source intimated that the interrogation last night was more relaxed compared to the intense interrogation he was subjected to today.
Our sources disclosed that Sabally’s wife was allowed to see her husband this morning after a lengthy wait. She was allowed to give him food and medications but he was denied a change of clothing and personal hygiene products.
Momodou Sabally as we go to press is currently at the Police Intervention Unit (PIU) in Kanifing for further interrogation. The security perimeter around him, according to our sources, has been reinforced and it is intense in comparison to last night.
The Party Leader and Secretary General of the United Democratic party was allowed to visit and see him today. Other political operatives like MC Cham Jr, well-wishers, and sympathizers also trek to the PIU location but were denied access to him.
Momodou Sabally has not been charged by the police with any crime yet, but our sources indicated that he might be transferred to Police Headquarters later today.
