This so-called adviser can not be schooled now but ought to be cautioned seriously. Otherwise, he would cause more harm than good in our peaceful communities. From supporting the lies and fabrications against Brikama Area Council on the issue of the alleged tax increase, now to accuse BAC for dissolving all the VDCs.
This is ridiculous, however, I want to teach Dou Sanno that: IT IS WITHIN THE MANDATE AND POWER OF BRIKAMA AREA COUNCIL TO DISSOLVE ANY VDC THAT DOES NOT SERVE THE INTEREST OF THE PEOPLE as contained under section 96 (1) of the Local Government Act 2002 which state thus; A COUNCIL MAY DISSOLVE A VILLAGE DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE BY RESOLUTION IF, IN THE OPINION OF THE COUNCIL , THE COMMITTEE IS INEFFECTIVE OR NOT OPERATING IN THE BEST INTEREST OF THE VILLAGE. This, in summary, clearly tells you that nobody can dissolve the VDC except council, and the council will always do so judiciously as the circumstances dictate. It is high time that Dou Sanno is asked to shut up because MISINFORMATION AND DISINFORMATION could have adverse negative consequences that could undermine our national security. A word for a wise is enough, but enough is enough. The lies and fabrication against BAC must stop.
