Second Lieutenant Alhagie Barrow, author of the book “The Dictator Is Us,” has upheld his commitment to donate the royalties from his book sales to the Victim’s Center.
“Today we received delegations from Global Hands Publishing Company in the persons of Dr. Cherno Omar Barry and Professor Momodou Sallah. They have published an exceptional author (Second Lieutenant Alhagie Barrow), who said that 100% of his royalties from the sale of his book, titled “The Dictator Is Us,” is to be donated to the Victim’s Center. These royalties amounted to D100,000 (one hundred thousand dalasis),” the victim center confirms.
The D100,000 cash donation was presented to Mr. DA Jawo, the new Board Chairman of their VC, in the presence of Mr. Adama Jallow, the National Coordinator, Mr. Kebba Jome, Head of Programs, and other Secretariat staff members.
“The VC wishes to extend its profound gratitude to Second Lieutenant Alhagie Barrow and Global Hands Publishing Company for such a wonderful gesture, coming at a time when funds are limited to support victims’ needs.
The VC assured that the funds will go a long way in supporting victims’ needs. We wish to take this opportunity to call on other philanthropies and individuals to support the VC, either in cash or kind, to continue catering for the needs of victims,” they said.
Second Lieutenant Alhagie Barrow has pledged that the entirety of the royalties generated from his book, “The Dictator Is Us,” will be donated to the Victim’s Center.
