African Leadership Organisation Awards 4 University Scholarships

At its maiden Student Mentorship Forum in The Gambia, the African Leadership Organisation (publishers of the African Leadership Magazine, Africa Energy and Infrastructure Magazine, and Amazons Watch) awarded four deserving students full scholarships to pursue undergraduate studies at any university of their choice in The Gambia.

 

The West Africa Representative for The Gambia and Senegal for the organisation, Muna Jallow expressed glad that the organisation is shifting focus to the potentials of the Senegambia region.

 

‘’When I met them in London and got to know about the remarkable work they do for Africa and Africans, I felt obliged to bring the organisation to the region,’’ Ms Jallow said.

 

“My next target is to bring the African Leadership Summit to either Gambia or Senegal,’’ she added.

 

The event brought together students from selected high schools, the University of The Gambia, and the American International University.

 

The award presentation was the highlight of the event on Saturday at a local Café, where the CEO of Global Properties, Saul Fraser, and the Managing Editor of the African Leadership Magazine, Kinsley Okeke addressed students on the theme of leadership and life lessons.

 

Mr. Fraser and Okeke used the stories of their lives to inspire the students with life lessons and The mentorship programme is part of events lined up for the visit of the Chairman and top executives of the African Leadership Magazine, which is in the country to publish a special exclusive edition on the tourism attractions and investment potentials of the country on which they had interviewed the president and other distinguished personalities in both the public and private sectors.  

 

The organization also hosted its maiden business forum in The Gambia on Thursday at the SDKJICC, graced by the Vice President of the republic, Dr. Isatou Touray.

 

The theme of the discussion was cross-border trade in Africa. The panelists included the Representatives of the IMF and UNDP, the Managing Director Designate of Trust Bank Ltd, and Abdoulie Baks Touray, the Chairman of the SAHEL Investment Group.

 

The African Leadership magazine is published by African Leadership (UK) Limited, a company registered in the United Kingdom (Company No. 07435198) and has grown to become the leading pan-African flagship leadership-focused publication.
