The Event Management Committee (EMC) at the Gambia Football Federation (GFF) earlier today informed the Media about the development on Scorpions of the Gambia’s game against the Bright Stars of South Sudan.
“Ticket prices are D1, 000 covered pavilion, D700 opposite covered, the scoreboards and opposite the scoreboards are D500. Tickets (sale) will start rolling as of tomorrow (Thursday) at the Vista Banks. The Federation (GFF) has agreed with Vista Bank so that we have all tickets sold at Vista Bank,” Willy Abraham, Chairman of EMC told the Journalists.
He advised the public to keep safe the receipts and the tickets from the Bank before the match day in Thies, Senegal.
“We are advising the general public not to lose these receipts or tickets. You need to keep them together. These two pieces of paper you have to produce at the stadium on the 4th of June. You will have to produce these two tickets from the Bank in order to enter. When you produce (the 2 papers) at the Stadium gate, we will be there to give you a wristband. This wristband will be tied to your hands by ourselves. We are not going to give it to you, we will tie it for you. The wristband will allow you to enter your respective areas based on the ticket you bought,” Mr. Abraham said.
Chairman of EMC warned the public against duplication of the tickets, saying those found wanting would be handed over to the Police.
“We are warning you not to tamper with these tickets, if you tamper with these tickets, we will hand you over to the police. Your wristband will have a number, if you duplicate them and we find out that you duplicate them. We are very sorry, but we will have to report you to the police,” he warned.
Mr. Abraham stated that the committee would not allow overcrowding of the stadium, thus they are selling the number of tickets corresponding to the capacity of the stadium said the capacity.
“Every ticket holder will have his or her own seat in the stadium. When you buy your ticket, you will have your own seat in the stadium. You cannot come and buy your ticket and want to enter into the stadium and be standing. CAF is not allowing anybody to be standing in the stadium. Everybody must be seated in the stadium,” Abraham told the Journalists.
Talking about the EMC’s arrangement of transportation for the people interested to watch the game in Senegal, Mr. Abraham said they agreed with two transportation companies- Gambia Transport Union and GTSC selling their tickets for D1, 000 that will sell their tickets for D1, 000 and D2, 000 per person, respectively.
