The University of The Gambia’s administration has issued a statement regarding the relocation of various academic units. Effective October 2nd, 2023, lectures for the School of Education, School of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences, and Department of Public and Environmental Health will commence at the Faraba Bantang campus. Additionally, the School of Business and Public Administration, the School of Arts and Sciences, and the School of Information Technology and Communications will be transferred to the Faraba Bantang campus, with classes commencing on October 9th, 2023.
“Further to the completion of LOT 1 of the UTG Faraba Bantang Project on September 30th, 2023, we are delighted to inform staff and students that lectures for the School of Education, School of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences, and Department of Public and Environmental Health will be held at the Faraba Bantang campus starting from October 2nd, 2023. An updated timetable as well as information on the bus timetable/route for students will be provided,” the UTG management announced.
The UTG management also announced that lectures for the School of Business and Public Administration, School of Arts and Sciences, and School of Information Technology and Communications will continue as usual but will be moved to the Faraba Bantang Campus on Monday, October 9, 2023.
“Further information on the updated timetable will be provided at the appropriate time,” they announced.
The university management said they are working with the Ministry of Higher Education Research Science and Technology (MoHERST) and the Project Coordinating Unit (PCU) to ensure a smooth transition to the Faraba Bantang Campus.
