The Gambia Police Force has reported a tragic incident at the New Wharf in Banjul, where 25-year-old Essa Colley, a compliance officer with Global Tracking and Maritime Solutions (GTMS), lost his life in a drowning accident.
“The Police responded to a tragic drowning incident at the New Wharf, Banjul. Which occurred in the early hours of 16th November 2024, between 00:00 and 00:30. Preliminary investigations reveal that Essa Colley, a 25-year-old compliance officer with Global Tracking and Maritime Solutions (GTMS), fell into the sea while attempting to urinate after waking up in an empty container near the edge of the wharf.
