China has extended invitation to Gambia government to train over 200 officials in various areas of development in the Asian country.
The dozens of public officials who will leave for China at the Asian country’s expense are to attend lectures, symposia and visits, a letter from foreign ministry addressed to various institutions has indicated.
The areas of focus for lectures and seminars are poverty reduction, cooperation under China’s Belt and Road Initiative for developing countries and trade promotion for developing countries, among others.
About 4 people will also leave the country’s State Intelligence Services to attend lectures on counter-terrorism capabilities, among others.
China will pay the air tickets, accommodation and traffic cost, USD 200 as transit subsidy for each participant and RMB 80 per day as daily allowance, a letter dated April 10 and seen by Kerr Fatou has stated.
