The China International Press Communication Center (CIPCC) 2024 Program is currently hosting more than 100 journalists from over 90 countries worldwide. These journalists are participating in a four-month fellowship program in Beijing, China, organized under the auspices of the CIPCC.
Throughout the program, the CIPCC will conduct sessions on various topics, including China’s socioeconomic development, diplomacy, culture, science, and technology. These lectures aim to provide journalists with a comprehensive understanding of China’s multifaceted landscape.
Participants will receive specialized training in journalism techniques and practices. Additionally, they will have the opportunity to intern with prominent media agencies in China, gaining firsthand experience in reporting and storytelling.

The CIPCC has organized symposiums that bring together journalists, relevant governmental departments, enterprises, think tanks, and media organizations. These interactions foster dialogue, exchange of ideas, and collaboration.
As part of the program, journalists will embark on visits to selected provinces within China. These excursions allow them to explore regional diversity, witness local development, and engage with communities.
Before diving into their program activities, participants attended an orientation session. Additionally, they received a comprehensive briefing on the Chinese Two Sessions. This collective term refers to the Chinese government’s annual plenary sessions of the National People’s Congress (NPC) and the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC). These significant events take place every March at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.
The CPPCC serves as China’s top political advisory body. Led by the Communist Party of China (CPC), it comprises more than 2,000 members from various backgrounds, including CPC representatives, members of other political parties, and professionals from all walks of life. Their role involves offering proposals and insights to contribute to the deliberation and administration of state affairs.
