The United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has listed 1,035 Gambians for deportation as part of a wider immigration enforcement operation.
The planned deportations follow a recent executive order issued by the President of the United States, aimed at removing undocumented immigrants from the country. According to ICE, a total of 1,445,549 individuals will be deported globally under this directive.
The statement also outlined the number of deportations for various countries, including Senegal, which will see 1,689 of its citizens repatriated.
