Amie Fabureh, Sheikh Omar Faye, FJC Appointed Ambassadors
Hon. Amie Fabureh, the former Minister of Agriculture is appointed The Gambia’s ambassador to the Republic of Guinea Bissau, the Standard newspaper reported today.
The Bakau-based paper added that Hon. Sheikh Omar Faye, the former Minister of Defence is appointed The Gambia’s ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, a position he previously served in.
The local newspaper further reported that Fatoumatta Jahumpa-Ceesay (FJC), the former Speaker of the Gambia’s National Assembly under former President Yahya Jammeh has been appointed The Gambia’s ambassador to South Africa; who will oversee Gambian matters in the surrounding southern African nations.
