New Alkalo of Latrikunda
Kerr Fatou is reliably informed that Alh Omar M.O. Faal (Pa Omar Faal), the newly appointed ‘alkalo’ of Latri Kunda Yiringanya has been handed the instruments needed in the execution of the functions of the office of the Alkalo.
The materials were said to have been handed to him by Talib Ahmed Bensouda, the Mayor of Kanifing Municipality on 19th February 2021.
Following the development, elders of the Faal family in a statement sent to Kerr fatou, congratulated Mr. Faal, and wished him well, saying “we wish Pa Omar Faal Good health, success and Prosperity in his new assignment.”
It could be remembered that the Minister of Lands, Regional Government and Religious Affairs, Alhaji Musa Drammeh appointed Alh. Omar M.O. Faal (Pa Omar Faal) as Alkalo of the settlement, effective 3rd February 2021, following the demise of his brother; after the son of his late brother also showed interest in the position.
