Popular Gambian artist Jerreh Jallow, known by his stage name Jizzle, signed a one-year partnership deal with Africell on Wednesday. The agreement, which designates Jizzle as a brand ambassador, comes as Africell celebrates its 25th anniversary at its headquarters on Kairaba Avenue.
Africell described the partnership as a significant milestone in its ongoing commitment to supporting arts, culture, and youth empowerment in The Gambia. The company noted that Jizzle is more than just an artist—he is an inspiration, a role model, and a symbol of Gambian excellence.
As one of The Gambia’s top musical talents, Jizzle’s collaboration with Africell aligns with the company’s vision of promoting local talent and uplifting the nation’s youth.
Speaking on behalf of Africell, Waka Jagne emphasized the company’s dedication to investing in talent, highlighting their record of supporting nearly 80% of all major events in The Gambia. Jagne praised Jizzle’s music for its messages of hope, ambition, and cultural pride, describing him as the perfect ambassador for Africell due to his authenticity, dedication, and ability to connect with audiences.
Waka emphasized that the partnership goes beyond business; it’s rooted in a shared vision for the growth of The Gambia and the empowerment of young artists who aspire to achieve greatness.
“Our commitment extends beyond music; we continue to play a vital role in sports, religious affairs, and humanitarian activities, ensuring that we give back to the community that supports us through this endorsement, Africell will stand behind to support him through his career,” he said.
After the signing, Jizzle expressed his gratitude to Africell for their trust in him, describing the partnership as a major milestone in his musical journey.
