AFCON Day 2: Morocco, Guinea, Gabon Wins First AFCON 2021 Matches

The Atlas Lions of Morocco, Syli Nationale of Guinea Conakry and the Panthers of Gabon all won their first matches in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON 2021) on Monday.
The Atlas Lions of Morocco defeated the Black Stars of Ghana 1-0 to claim all 3 points. Former Southampton winger who now plays for Angers in French League 1 Sofiane Boufal scored the only goal in the 82nd minute.
Elsewhere, Syli Nationale of Guinea Conakry also defeated the flames of Malawi 1-0 thanks to Issiaga Sylla’s 35th minute goal.
Meanwhile, the Panthers of Gabon who are without their Captain and star striker Pierre Emerick Aubameyang who tested positive for Covid defeated the Coelacanths of Comoros 1-0 in their first match of AFCON 2021. The Al- Arabi striker Aron Salem Boupenza scored the only goal for the Panthers of Gabon to secure all 3 points.
Today’s AFCON 2021 game will see the Desert Foxes of Algeria play against the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone at 13:00 GMT.
The biggest game of the day will see the Super Eagles of Nigeria play against the pharaohs of Egypt at 16:00 GMT.
The last game of the day will see the Falcons of Jediane of Sudan take on the Djurtus of Guinea Bissau at 19:00 GMT.
