Liverpool and Senegalese superstar Sadio Mane has congratulated the Gambian national football team for qualifying for the first time to the African Cup of Nations.

The superstar gave the congratulatory message on Instagram immediately the Scorpions defeated Angola by a goal to nil on Thursday.
“Give up nothing, and fight till the last energy. This is what Gambia have done historically qualifying for AFCON! Congratulations to the Scorpions and all the Gambian people ❤️,” he wrote on Instagram.
The Gambia join Comoros Islands for the Nations Cup for the first time in their history.
Assan Ceesay’s 62nd minute goal and his 3rd in the qualifiers, sealed victory for the Scorpions after Gabon beat DR Congo 3-0.
