THE GAMBIA ACTION PARTY SHUN AT THE HYPOCRISY OF THE WESTS

Your actions towards Africa and its governments expose a glaring hypocrisy and double standard. You celebrate same-sex marriage and honor the LGBTQ+ community, despite these practices being fundamentally at odds with many African cultural and religious values. You accept behaviors within your societies that are seen as indecent by others, yet you are quick to criticize and condemn African traditions and practices.
Why this obsession with dictating what Africans do within their cultural and religious frameworks? You criticize practices like female genital circumcision and early marriage while ignoring issues within your own societies, such as early sexual activity and the normalization of having multiple sex partners. This hypocrisy underscores a profound disrespect for African traditions and Islamic values.
If you truly believe in respecting diversity, then you must also respect the cultural and religious practices of Africa. Our traditions and values are deeply ingrained, shaping our communities and identities for generations. Your attempts to impose your values on us under the guise of human rights only serve to undermine our unity and disrupt our social fabric.
African presidents and leaders, it is crucial to respect and stand by your people. Empower them to practice their culture and traditions without fear of external interference. Strengthen our communities by upholding the values that define us, ensuring that our heritage remains intact amidst the pressures of globalization.
The West must understand that respect is a two-way street. Allow what is yours to remain yours, and let what belongs to Africa be for the Africans. Only through mutual respect can we hope to coexist harmoniously in this diverse world.
