Tragic Incident Claims Lives of Five Children, with One Still Missing in Sare Bojo, CRR

The Chairman of Basse Area Council, Mahamadou Ceesay, expressed deep sorrow upon learning of the heartbreaking incident involving the drowning of five children in a lake at Sare Bojo village on Sunday evening.

“It was with great sadness that I received the tragic news of the unfortunate deaths of five children who had drowned in a lake in Sare Bojo village on Sunday evening. On behalf of the entire people of the Upper River Region, I wish to convey my heartfelt condolences to the families and relatives of the deceased and the community of Sare Bojo and Jimara at large. We mourn the demise of these beautiful and youthful souls who perished in this incident as a great loss to the future of the entire URR. We also wish safety and stability to the rescued amongst them,” he wrote through his Facebook page.

According to reports from Lamtoro News, the group of children involved in the incident consisted of six individuals, with one child still unaccounted for.
