President Adama Barrow has declared Tuesday, August 15, 2023, a public holiday throughout the Gambia in observance of the Christian feast of the Assumption of Mary (Sang Marie).
“His Excellency President Adama Barrow acting in accordance with section 76(1)of the 1997 constitution of the Gambia has declared Tuesday 15th August 2023, a public holiday in observance of the Christian feast of Assumption of Mary (Sang Marie) throughout the Gambia,” the press release reads.
President Barrow also wishes all those celebrating a happy feast.
