A reliable source close to the NPP National Executive Committee has disclosed to this medium that a petition has been submitted to the party’s leadership calling for the resignation or forced removal of Lamin Jatta, the NPP’s West Coast Regional Chairman.

“Chairman Lamin Jatta is being petitioned by members of his Executive Committee plus Chairmen and Women Mobilizers from 9 constituencies in the region for his bad leadership, disrespect of the party’s leadership especially President Adama Barrow. NPP’s calamitous performance in both national assembly elections and the just concluded local government elections.

“Chairman Jatta is also being petitioned for how he relates with party supporters in the region. He is deemed as divisive, arrogant, and offensive to members of the party in the region, “The Source Revealed.

The source further revealed that upon receipt of the petition a panel was set up and both the petitioners and Lamin Jatta were invited but the outcome have not been communicated to either party. Our source also revealed that Saikou Mballow has personally asked Mr Jatta to resign which he declined.
And in a separate meeting between the National Executive and the petitioners, they have threatened that either Lamin Jatta resigns, be removed or they will all resign because they can no longer work with him.
