The Deputy Party Leader of the United Democratic Party (UDP), Aji Yam Secka said the Barrow Government wants to silence Momodou Sabally but they cannot do that.
“Adama Barrow, we fought for what pertains here today. It was not easy, and the roads were rough but we did our best and remove Yaya Jammeh. It was an ugly period and that was the reason we removed him and said Never Again. You want to bring the same thing back again but we’ve sworn never again. We will not allow it to happen again.
“You had Momodou Sabally arrested to silence him, but you cannot silence him. You want to silence the United Democratic Party, but you cannot silence us. Adama Barrow, you and your government are very lucky because if we happen to proceed with our protest on the 5th you will be very surprised because it would not only be the youth instead all of us will go out and lead the youth,” she said.
She added that they will not allow the youth of the United Democratic Party to suffer alone.
“We will never leave the youth of the United Democratic Party to suffer alone. If you are in trouble we will be with you. If you are happy we will be happy with you. If the youth are troubled we will be with them. Adama Barrow is very lucky if not we will have gone out in our red clothes. He said that Momodou Sabally wants to take him down before the local government elections, Adama Barrow, you will go down before the local government elections, I said it.
” you don’t want to go down but you will surely go down. You have not done any good in the country. We brought you to power, now you are fighting us.
