Young Man Seeks D58, 450 Support To Study In Malaysia

A young Gambian, Abu Bakr, is seeking financial support amounting to D58, 450 to enable him study Diploma in Arabic and BSc in Computer Science at the Islamic College University of Perlis in Malaysia.
Heis selected for the Islamic College University of Perlis- Malay Customs of Perlis (KUIPS-MAIPS) higher education scholarship for the September 2022/2023 intake.
However, the young man’s financial muscle is not strong enough to fund his journey to realise his dream to study in Malaysia.
The scholarship is an advanced financing scheme for undergraduate students of the Islamic College University of Perlis (KUIPS) with full sponsorship by the Islamic Religious Council and Malay Customs of Perlis (MAIPS) that covers registration fee, tuition fees, Accommodation, and allowance
Nonetheless, it does not cover the Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS) and Student Pass Administration of study fee of RM 3,000 Pond, Flight ticket and lodging to the College University, Personal Bond, the rate of which is based on the applicant’s country of origin, etc.
“I got a scholarship from the University of Kolej Universiti Islam Perlis (KUIPs), Malaysia: Diploma in Arabic and BSc in Computer Science. However, the scholarship does not cover the EMGS (Education Malaysia Global Services) fee (student pass), flight ticket and personal bond. But with the help of Allah, my friends and family assisted me in paying the student pass application fee of D44, 000,” he said.
While the young man is thankful for the assistance from his friends and family in paying the student pass application fee of D44, 000, he appealed for further assistance to purchase an air-ticket and pay for the Personal bond costing D58, 450 .
“Now I need financial assistance to pay for the personal bond and flight ticket. The flight ticket is D55, 000 and the Personal bond is D19, 500. Someone already donated me D16, 050. Now, I am looking for only D58, 450. I am humbly appealing to everyone out there, who can support (donate) me with any amount possible to help me out. Your donations mean a lot to me as they can definitely help me complete my educational career,” he told this medium.
Bakr who memorised the Holy Quranic, graduated from Masroor Senior School in the Sciences with 8 credits in 2014; before graduating with a Distinction from an Islamic School in 2021.
