President Barrow Tells Gambians Abroad To Invest Back Home

President Adama Barrow has called on Gambians in the Diaspora to return home to invest.
“(It) is very important for Gambians to come back to invest in this country (Gambia). As I said, others (non-Gambians) can help, but the ultimate responsibility is we the Gambians and there are Gambians in America who are aware of. They are doing very well in those countries. I see no reason why they should not invest back home. We had a very good meeting and very good reception,” he said.
The president made the remarks at the Banjul International Airport on Tuesday, upon arrival from the United Nations General Assembly held in New York in the United States of America.
The President and delegation departed at the Banjul International Airport on Sunday 18th September for the event.
However, Barrow was greeted with a protest by some Gambians resident in New York ahead of his address to the 77th United Nations General Assembly on 22nd September.
