President of the Confederation of African Volleyball (CAVB), Madam Bouchra Hajij is set to visit The Gambia on Thursday.
Madam Hajij is expected to arrive in Banjul for a four-day official visit as part of her continuous tour of Africa as CAVB leadership.
During her visit, the CAVB President is expected to meet with the President Adama Barrow; Minister of Youth and Sport, Bakary Y. Badjie; and President of Gambia National Olympic Committee (GNOC), Ms. Beatrice Allen.
The Moroccan, who assumed leadership of African Volleyball in 2020, would preside over the Zone II volleyball General Assembly at a local hotel in the Gambia on 4th September, in the maiden onsite meeting by the bureau, since Bai Dodou Jallow assumes leadership of the Gambia Volleyball Federation (GVBF) in 2020.
Meanwhile, Gambia will also host the 2022 Zone II beach volleyball championship from 1st to 6th September 2022.
Founded in 1972 with 54 member associations and headquartered in Egypt, the Africa Volleyball Confederation (CAVB) is the body that governs volleyball in the continent.
