President Barrow declares Tuesday as public holiday
The president of the Gambia, Adama Barrow, has declared Tuesday January 1, as public holiday, a news release from the presidency on Monday stated.
The public holiday is in observance of the advent of the New Year.
“On behalf of the First Family, the government and the people of The Gambia, the President wishes everyone a happy and prosperous 2019,” the release added.
