Journalist Omar Wally has confirmed  that  lawyer Essa M. Faal and Comedian Baba Jah are  granted D100,000 bail bond each at the Brusubi Police Station.

“Former Truth Commission’s Lead Counsel, Essa Mbaye Faal, has been charged with idle and disorderly conduct. He was granted bail to the tune of D100,000 and asked to report to Police tomorrow.

“Comedian Ebou Bah better known as Baba Jah was charged with two counts idle and disorderliness, and prohibitive conduct. Baba Jah was granted bail D100,000,” journalist Omar Wally wrote on Facebook this evening.

The development followed after the comedian on Saturday night in a viral video, verbally assaulted Essa Faal who contested in the 2021 presidential election under an independent ticket.

Baba Jah, a comedian and online commentator is heard in the video calling Essa Faal a “criminal Lawyer” and hurling insults at his parents.

Jah also accused the former TRRC lead counsel of mobilising a group to beat him up after calling him  ‘a liar’.

Essa Faal is not seen attacking or insulting in the entire video that went viral on social media in the early hours of Sunday morning. However, a group of men alighted from a vehicle and got into a verbal and physical altercation with Baba Jah who could be heard in the latter part of the video saying he got hit by one of the men.
