The Secretary General and leader of the United Democratic Party (UDP), Lawyer Ousainu Darboe has asked his party’s National Assembly Members to push the UDP’s 5-point agenda in the parliament.

“UDP has an agenda which is a Gambian National agenda. If anyone says our national Assembly Members will not push UDP’s five-point agenda, then you don’t love the Gambia. You (NAMs elect) are not for UDP, but you are there for the Gambia but also our UDP ideas. The way UDP wants this country to be governed and that is not partisan politics. Every party wants your policies to be expressed in the legislation of the country. And I believe you will do that,” he told Fatou Cham after receiving her at the UDP bureau in Manjai Kunda on Tuesday.

The United Democratic Party (UDP) won fifteen seats in the just concluded parliamentary election. Fatou Cham is the National Assembly Member for Sannementering Constituency after defeating Baba Galleh Jallow whom she campaigned for in 2017.
