President Adama Barrow took part in the 2018 Bloomberg Global Business Forum, which was organized by Bloomberg LP, to discuss and address challenges to our shared prosperity.
Barrow was received by the Founder of Bloomberg L.P. & Bloomberg Philanthropies, Michael R. Bloomberg, upon arrival.
The forum was held to discuss and address challenges to trade and globalization as well as build crucial partnerships between business and government as a solution.
It called for more business opportunities and inclusivity in promoting trade and investment for economic growth.
During the bilateral, President Barrow used the opportunity to network and advocate for more business and investment for the country.
Political leaders at the event called for a robust public private partnership to create a conducive environment for competitive businesses to thrive and create more jobs.
This year’s Business Forum put emphasis on the use of technology to enhance businesses and reduce poverty.
UK Prime Minister, Theresa May, delivered the keynote address, Former US President, Bill Clinton moderated a session with Norwegian PM, Erna Solberg, Ivan Duque Marquez of Columbia, and Cyril Ramaphosa of South Africa.
